UBA Jersey Policy

Underground Bowling Association (UBA) Jersey/Apparel Customization Policy

Purpose:

This policy outlines the guidelines and procedures for the customization of Underground Bowling Association (UBA) jerseys and apparel. The objective is to maintain the integrity of UBA-branded merchandise while allowing members and franchise owners to represent their teams and affiliations through approved custom designs.

1. Customization Authorization

When a UBA member purchases a UBA jersey or other official apparel, they are permitted to add their team logo to the item. This permission is granted to enhance team identity while preserving the official UBA branding.

UBA jerseys cannot be individually customized. All customization must be approved and standardized according to UBA guidelines.

2. Approval Process

All customized UBA apparel, including but not limited to jerseys, must receive final approval from the UBA before production. The UBA retains the ultimate authority over the appearance of any branded merchandise.

Members and franchise owners are encouraged to participate in the design process of their jerseys; however, all designs must align with UBA brand guidelines and receive formal approval from the UBA.

Any customization that does not meet UBA standards will be required to undergo revisions until approval is granted.

3. Design, Placement, and Restrictions

The design, placement, and overall appearance of any logos, names, or other customization elements on UBA apparel are subject to UBA's approval. This includes, but is not limited to, the size, color, and positioning of the team logo in relation to the official UBA branding.

The UBA does not allow the addition of logos from brands or companies with which the UBA does not have an official partnership. Individual sponsors such as Proshops and bowling centers affiliated with team members or franchise owners are allowed to have their logos and names added to UBA jerseys and apparel.

Bowlers who are on staff or work for brands that are not officially partnered with the UBA are permitted to add patches of these brands to their jerseys. However, these patches must be applied professionally and should not hinder the appearance of the jersey or detract from its overall look.

National and larger brands are not permitted to have their logos featured on UBA apparel unless they enter into a formal sponsorship or partnership agreement with the UBA.

All names on the back of UBA jerseys must consist solely of letters from a standard American keyboard. Symbols, special characters, and artwork are not permitted to ensure uniformity and professionalism in UBA apparel.

The UBA reserves the right to make adjustments or request changes to ensure all apparel adheres to the organization’s branding guidelines and standards.

4. Official Apparel Partners

Teams are only permitted to purchase and customize UBA apparel through one of the UBA’s official apparel partners. A list of approved partners will be provided by the UBA.

Customizations made through unauthorized vendors or channels will not be recognized as official UBA apparel and may not be worn during UBA-sanctioned events.

5. Compliance and Enforcement

Any UBA member or franchise owner found to be in violation of this policy may face penalties, including but not limited to the prohibition of wearing non-compliant apparel at UBA events, fines, or other disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the UBA.

6. Amendments

The UBA reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to all members and franchise owners in a timely manner.

This policy ensures that UBA-branded apparel maintains a consistent and professional appearance while also allowing teams to showcase their unique identities and affiliations within the framework set by the UBA. Your cooperation and adherence to this policy are essential in upholding the standards of the Underground Bowling Association.
